State Fair

As if that weren't enough fun adventures for one week, Papillon and I also met up with a friend from college and headed to the State Fair.

There were lots of fun annimals at the fair.
Like this tiny pony.

And these baby pigs.

And of course, lots of cows.

We also watched Swifty the Swimming Pig.
Apparently there is a Guiness Book of World Records Category for the 12 week old pig who can swim an 8ft tank the fastest. Swifty is training to see if he can break that record.

This is what Papillon thought of the State Fair.
She looked around a bit. (it was hot, which is why her onsie is allowing for a bit of a breeze)

was generally unenthusiastic.

She briefly mustered up some enthusiasm.

But quickly concluded that it was waaaay to hot for enthusiasm and resumed her general air of disgust.

Despite Papillon's mild displeasure, and the rather intense heat, we managed to have a fabulous time, and I am looking forward to taking Papillon back next year when she will have a greater appreciation for all the animals.
