At the end of July, Mon Amour's cousin got married, and had invited Papillon to be one of her flower girls. We had her dress in the closet for a couple months before the actual wedding day, and Papillon asked almost every day if it was "time to get married yet". Finally, it was time...
Waiting for the rehearsal to start.
A little pre-rehearsal practice. We were coaching her through how to drop the petals (not all at once) and also how to NOT look at the people, just focus on the aisle and walking!
The big day!
The bride!
Starting to get anxious...
The other flower girl was hilarious. Clearly.
One last practice before the guests arrive.
Papillon was afraid of the photographer, so the only pictures of her were ones that I took.
Pre-wedding snacks.
When the big moment came, Papillon lost her nerve. Despite repeatedly reminding herself not too look at the people, all those eyes looking at her proved too much. The other little girl made it down the aisle, but looked slightly petrified the whole way down. What can you do? When you are 3 and 4, it's a lot of pressure.
The rehearsal was a lot of fun though. Hibou (who still wasn't walking) scotched frantically around after the big girls who were laughing and screaming hysterically.
Cake pop favors - brilliant!
Me and my little Blondie.
