Papillon has often been commented on her "excellent muscle tone" (those are the pediatricians words, not mine). And she truly does love to be upright and move her head around.
However, we cannot take newborn muscle tone for granted. All muscles must be exercised.
Therefore, we frequently attempt "tummy time" like so:

She was pushing herself up a little higher before I managed to get the camera out, of course; but you get the picture.
Papillon tolerates tummy time decently, though it aggravates her that she cannot get her head up high enough to see everything yet.
She prefers to be propped up with pillows....
...so that she can hold her head up, see the world, and practice her singing (or something).
(Side note: not 20 seconds after this picture was taken Papillon fell forward, doing a bit of a face plant into the sofa cushion in front of her. She was un-phased, but I suppose she is not quite ready to be completely upright yet. )

yay! This is exciting. I don't really have suggestions... except for that at this time of year, I always wish I had some sort of heavy-ish sweater that I could use as a jacket and also wear under coats (that is, except on freakishly warm days like we've been having).
