Life Comes at You Fast

Last week for the first time in...probably forever, Papillon and I took an entire week, and with the exception of a quick trip to welcome my sister home from Scotland, we did nothing. No play dates, no day trips, no shopping. Just some staying home and catching up on life, allowing a little room to breathe.

It was much needed for a number of reasons.
Those reasons include the following:

Mon Amour went to China:

Then went to Kyrgyzstan:
(Note: I wasn't sure which of Mon Amour's pictures epitomized Kyrgyzstan, so this may be a totally random, non-Kyrgyzstan-y picture. I have no idea)

While he was gone, our house was robbed:
(Don't worry, no one was hurt, nothing terribly important was stolen, and we are largely recovered from the shock, though still a little paranoid)

And, last, but certainly not least, we are expecting baby #2!
This is how we told Mon Amour (right before his departure for foreign countries)
(the shirt is made with duct tape. Classy, I know. It originally said "baby". I duct taped on "not the...any more". It's proven a little too subtle for some people.)

We are super excited!

The little one should make his/her arrival by the end of March.

But, given the other adventures of the past two weeks (the temporary absence of my husband, as well as the violation of my house), we were feeling a bit bushed.

And the week off was much needed.
Now back to "normal life" and our regularly scheduled schedule.

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! (For the new baby that is - not, of course, for the burglars!)

Congrats on the news of baby number 2! I am glad you all were ok after the robbery. That must have been very scary.
