My younger brother managed to come home from Navy Flight School for a brief visit over Memorial Day Weekend. The occasion, of course, called for a picnic!
As is fitting, there was tasty food...
...There really was more than cheerios and jello salad, I promise.
After lunch, it was time for blowing bubbles...
...chilling in cute purple chairs...
...aerobic bubble blowing...
...chilling by the pool (twas too chilly to actually swim)...
...tractor riding with Grandpa...
...until she discovered that the tractor's little trailer was much more comfortable...
...taking in the sunshine...
...eating Grandpa's ice cream...
...a few family portraits...
...there were lots of family portraits, and yet we forgot to get a good one with this lovely lady; so she got her own picture.
Then it was on to kite flying. Phoebe actually held the string and ran this time, rather than letting Grandpa do all the work.
What fun to have Uncle E home for a bit!
We concluded our visit with a little Skyping with my older brother. The whole family together thanks to technology!
